After about 7 years I've taken my pastels from their wrapping.

I know, the only excuse I can come up with is that I'm writing, and usually writing and drawing do not combine well with me. But, I have a lot of time on my hands at the mo, so writing, photographing, making jewellery, doing the garden, renovating the bathroom, building a walk-in wardrobe aside, I've started a pastel drawing.

Okay. Truth to be told I've done the pencil line drawing, but did not get much further today. I just keep being drawn back to Moirai, my latest upload. She appears to be a work in progress. Every time I think she's finished, I discover there's more room for improvement. I've Photoshopped her so much by now, I cannot really categorise her as traditional anymore. I wish DA had a proper category for that: digitally enhanced traditional work.

That one too started out as a pastel drawing. One day I decided to draw all the Gods and Goddesses of Kaian in pastel, but I've only managed to draw the one. Oh, and Kairedwehn, but I never finished her.
Hmmm... another digital project?
